SCHOOL OF MINISTRY DEVELOPMENT

Mission Statement

The mission of the NEKMI School of Ministry Development is to assist students in identifying, developing, and fulfilling their God-given purpose and destiny in the Kingdom of God. To accomplish this, the School of Ministry Development will prepare students to share the gospel with biblical accuracy and a balance of truth and grace, equipping them to do this according to their individual giftings, callings, and assignments.

School of Ministry Development Description

The School of Ministry Development holds that those desiring to serve the Church in ministry need a solid and accurate foundation in the Word of God. To this end, the School of Ministry Development provides students with in-depth instruction on the biblical tenets of faith needed to solidify their knowledge and understanding of the truth of the Word of God. To achieve this foundation, the School of Ministry Development will:

1. Provide solid evidence that the Word of God is truly God's word and not man's.

2. Teach students to achieve and deepen their intimacy with God.

3. Ensure understanding of the concept of "Kingdom" by delving deeply into "the rule of law" of the Kingdom of God and the obligations required of citizens living in the Kingdom.

4. To provide an accurate understanding of end-times truth vs. fallacy.

5. To instruct in a thorough knowledge and understanding of the general principle in the Word of God.

In addition, the School of Ministry Development offers a wide range of classes designed to thoroughly equip students in both biblical principles as well as the practical application of effective ministry. Instruction revolves around principles of leadership, public speaking, home church and group facilitation, and effective discipleship. Students will also become familiar with various types of ministry service they might feel called to. These involve ministering to various groups of people, including youth and young adults, married couples, singles, divorced people, and senior citizens. Instruction in evangelism, worship and pro-sound ministries, healing and deliverance, and men's and women's ministries are also available. Preparation will include in-class study as well as "hands-on" experiential training in actual ministry settings.
